IN MARCH 2007 RI DEM ANNOUNCED AWARD OF
HUNT RIVER WATER QUALITY PROTECTION AND RESTORATION GRANTS
- Town of East Greenwich - $215,000 in state bond funds and $105,000 in federal funds - Sun Valley Stormwater Infiltration Project – Funds will provide for the design, permitting and construction of an infiltrating catch basin for the Sun Valley neighborhood to improve the quality of the stormwater entering the Hunt River.
- State Bond Funding for Non-Governmental Projects Stanley Fastening Systems of East Greenwich - $122,125 • For implementation of landscape improvements to reduce the pathogenic inputs to the Hunt River from goose waste contaminated runoff from the property.
